Job description

Together with your team, you make sure the store always looks welcoming, organized and well maintained. You understand the importance of knowing your customers, treating them like valued guests and giving everyone a warm welcome. Creating that positive atmosphere comes naturally to you, and you bring it to life every day.

You are the friendly face of the store and an important point of contact for both customers and colleagues. You understand what customers need and know what great customer service means at Jumbo. As a leader, you turn those needs into action and motivate your team to deliver the best possible experience.

No two days are the same on the shop floor. Customers and colleagues can come to you with all kinds of questions and you are always ready to help. You also welcome suggestions from customers and support your colleagues in developing their skills and confidence.

What you bring

  • Experience in retail, hospitality or logistics where you led people or covered for a manager
  • You speak English or Dutch
  • You stay calm during a busy Saturday rush
  • You're 18 or older
  • No supermarket background required if you've led a team elsewhere

What you do

  • Making sure the fresh departments and/or the service area run smoothly. You also carry out regular checks throughout the store
  • Creating a positive working environment by supporting colleagues on the shop floor and giving them genuine personal attention
  • Keeping stock levels under control by estimating demand, monitoring inventory and ordering products on time
  • Ensuring the right staffing levels, while keeping track of working hours, holidays and employee absence

  • €2.700 - €3.000 a month at full-time equivalent, depending on experience.
