Job description

You have a love for the craft, enjoy working with fresh, seasonal and regional products. You are creative, know how to turn basic products into something very special and want to keep learning and deepening your knowledge. You are collegial, enjoy working in a small team, you work neat and clean, love the mountains and have good communication skills. If you want to establish a long-term working relationship that is certainly possible and even a big plus. 

You cook as creatively for people with allergies, diets and intolerances as for regular guests and have experience/want to gain experience with vegetarian and vegan cuisine. You are a type of hard work, lots of passion for cooking, but also lots of fun with your colleagues. Besides a chef training, several years of experience is an advantage.

Work situation
Hotel Esprit Montagne has a small, French-Dutch speaking team where you will support our Dutch Chef in the kitchen. Together you will create the most delicious dishes. Your work consists of mis-en-place, dinner passing, washing dishes and keeping the kitchen clean and maintaining hygiene and safety standards.

You work 6 days a week. We don't have lunch, so mornings are always free. Besides a salary, we will give you your meals and drinks at the hotel, lodging (own bedroom) and the Multipass. With the Multipass you have free access to the elevators that are open throughout the Portes du Soleil, swimming pools, tennis courts and mini golf.

The Hotel
Hotel Esprit Montagne is a cozy, atmospheric chalet hotel with 20 rooms (40 beds). The hotel is located in the famous Portes du Soleil ski area, in the village of La Chapelle d'Abondance, in France. Our restaurant is open to hotel guests staying here on a half-board basis and to outside guests. We have no à-la-carte, but an always changing daily menu in which you can express your creativity. 

The kitchen is known as a surprising gourmet cuisine with fresh, seasonal and regional products. We want our guests to get to know the real "Esprit Montagne". 

The service orientation, the friendly staff, the special meals and the personal approach in our hotel are an important reason why vacation guests come back here time and time again.
